The Orbis Global Equity Strategy and the Orbis Optimal Strategy are now open to new investors. New investors must be qualified, non-U.S. and subscribe at least US$50 million to the Orbis Funds. Current Orbis Fund investors and those persons to whom we have existing commitments are not affected and may continue to make additional investments in the Orbis Funds, other than the Orbis Leveraged Funds which remain closed.
We regret not being able to accept at this time a broader range of prospective new investors but we believe that a limited opening is in the best long-term interest of our existing and prospective investors as well as the firm. We intend to open the Orbis Funds to a wider audience when we consider it appropriate to do so, and will issue notice of such opening on our website.
