Child Trust Fund transfers now available

17 April 2015

We’re pleased to announce that Child Trust Funds (CTF) can now be transferred to our Junior Stocks & Shares ISA.

Changes made by the government this month have made it possible to transfer CTFs to Junior ISAs for the first time. The inability to transfer out of CTFs had come under criticism from those who felt that financial service providers were frequently offering better deals on Junior ISAs.

If you have a niggle that you could be doing more with your child’s CTF, our Junior ISA could be worth a closer look. As you may already know, any money (including transfers) invested in our Junior ISA in the first 12 months from account opening will be invested free of management fees for the entire life of the account.

While Junior ISAs are broadly similar to CTFs, there are differences - in particular if you switch from a Cash CTF to a Junior Stocks & Shares ISA. For more details, visit our FAQs or read further. And do remember the value of investments in Junior Stocks & Shares ISAs may go down as well as up and past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
